MOVE YOUTH EXCHANGES UP!
Date du début: 2 janv. 2015, Date de fin: 30 juil. 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The seminar MOVE UP YOUTH EXCHANGES! is a collaborative work of partners from 12 organizations from: Italy, Turkey, Romania, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Estonia, Portugal, Macedonia (FYROM), Spain, involving 29 youth workers, youth leaders, facilitators, trainers knowledgeable Youth in Action and experience in youth exchanges. It took place from 19th-26th / 03/2015 in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain and last 6 months. Analysing our experience and our partners’ one we identified a number of weaknesses in the development of youth exchanges we can improve together. But we must also note, we detected strengths. We develop a seminar to enhance the capacity of organizations that will better equipped to face the challenges of the programme Erasmus+ Youth, promote inclusion of young people, youth participation in Europe, especially young people with fewer opportunities in our future projects Erasmus+ Youth, the quality of learning and its recognition. OBJECTIVES: 1 Involve young participants in all phases of a mobility project Erasmus+ Youth, encourage initiative and entrepreneurship. 2 Strengthen the work in the youth field, enhancing the capabilities of organizations, workers and volunteers in Europe sharing best practices / experiences. 3 Increase the impact of projects and Erasmus +, especially youth exchanges. 3 Encourage certification of learning for young people and youth workers, recognition and validation of skills acquired through non formal education in the field of youth work. 5 Promoting intercultural learning and European citizenship. 6 Strengthen the network of European organizations (and networking) cooperating with the programme Erasmus+ Youth (having more partners and collaborators better prepared means to make better youth projects). We use non formal and informal methods to maximize participation and cooperation, with games and group dynamics, expert presentations followed by analysis and discussion in small groups, creating activities for the implementation at a highschool, intercultural nights and daily reflection group. We made a study of the strengths and weaknesses of our youth exchanges projects in detail, collect them and discuss best practices. In the end, we collect all the methods, strategies and best practices to create a practical guide with recommendations to be spread in English. We will disseminate this guide making public presentations to members and different promoters, sending copies to the partners’ networks, which will be available online. We will monitor new youth exchanges that we will created with our partners from the seminar, using our practical guide to assess the results and the actual impact. The impact will be both locally, with visibility of expositions of the practical guide and the project, broadcast media, activities with local people and regional and European level. Considering the impact of the participating organizations and their partners and the extensive network of partners in the European AJ Inter informal network, who will enjoy the use and disseminate best practices contained in the final products. We hope that this project will contribute to improving the quality of European mobility projects (especially youth exchanges) mainly in those aspects that are not made properly (such as long-term effects, visibility, preparation / expectations participants). We also hope to improve aspects of European citizenship and intercultural learning (a large number of organizations who implement projects of Erasmus+) which we believe are issues inherent in European mobility projects.
