The project "Move, live and learn!" was born from the established collaboration, existing from 2010, between The Asociatia Mladita and Punto Missione Onlus within the european mobility programmes: EVS and youth exchange. The countries involved are Italy and Romania: Italy as the Coordinator and sending country and Romania as the partner organisation and hosting country. The project is aimed at creating multicultural contexts which can help to develop non-discrimination actions and social inclusion, especially for Roma Community. The volunteers will be immersed in a very challenging context, in terms of racial discrimination, poverty and few job opportunities and this will be the occasion to them for growing up and understanding how these dilemmas are faced in other european countries. At the same time, by participating in practical activities, they will be given the opportunity to increase their knowledge and competences as well as to develop the sense of European citizenship and integration necessary to approach the modern labour market. They will be actively involved in several activities managed and promoted by the Asociatia Mladita's members and by other non profit organisations. They will spend most of their time within the Youth Village which is characterized by the cohexistence of three cultures: Romanian, Roma and Italian. The volunteers are expected to support the educators and the people responsible for the activities in order to "learn by doing" and develop the attitude towards initiative and indipendence. They will be supported and coordinated respectively by the mentor and the coordinator of the project, both members of the Asociatia Mladita, and they will stay for 5 months and 7 months.
