Two NGO's will combine skills and knowledge to raise awareness of youth about healthy lifestyle through motorsports. This will diminish increasing use of alcohol and tobacco among adolescents. The main objective of the project is to involve youth from the border regions in sporting activities. In comparison with large towns, rural youth has very few choices in terms of putting their talent to use, making their dreams come true, becoming professional athletes in motorsports and living healthy. Youth will be activated and attracted through seminars, workshops, motorsport camps and contests. Professional and practical information will be communicated through promotional and educational materials, videos with real Latvian and Lithuanian motorsport stars will be circulated and youth contests shall take place. Attractive website will become a place for youth from border region to meet and communicate.More than 4,200 adolescents from 70 schools and orphanages will be targeted by project activities: different competitions on health and sport related issues. About 1,600 youngsters will be directly involved in seminars, workshops and training needed to acquire practical skills, knowledge and practice healthy lifestyle. They shall learn about the physical condition required to become a professional and ways of making the dream of becoming motorsport star come true.
