The "Youth Leadership Through Adventure" is an international training of future young leaders addressed to 35 participants aged 16 - 30 years and 2 partner organizations from Poland (Fundacja Kacpra, Melchiora i Baltazara) and Slovakia (DOWINA) that work using the potential of active forms of activities with young people interested in mountain tourism and forms of outdoor and ecology. The main need of the project participants is the opportunity to gain new experience in the international dimension and improving the key competences and skills of young leaders, useful from the organizational point of view (outdoor activities and sports) and also in the labor market. For many participants the mountains are not only a passion: in the future they would like to combine their passion with the profession e.g. working as a guide, rock climbing instructor or organizing forms of recreation for children. The project will be therefore not only a chance of acquiring soft skills but also of building a professional capital and having a better start in the future. Initiating activities in an international team - meetings and exchange of experiences and good practices in informal work with young people will comprise an additional value for the participants. The project will also aim at promoting intercultural dialogue between the countries involved in the project, by finding common areas that were included in the project. It will provide an opportunity to overcome language barriers, stereotypes and have great outdoor fun for the participants. During 7 days of training the participants will take part in both open-air intensive courses, mountaineering courses and specialist training courses. They will also deepen their personal skills. They will take part in meetings devoted to ecological lifestyle, which will result in cooperation, designing and carrying out of a common action - an outdoor form for the local community. The action aims at inviting passers-by to take advantage of a spontaneous activity. During the event, participants of the project will encourage young people to discuss and they will also distribute leaflets on active lifestyle, ecology and healthy lifestyle; they will inform about the possibilities of using the outdoor forms of activities with young people carried out in NGOs. An important element of the leaders' training will also be the so-called "Cultural Evenings" during which participants will learn characteristics of the Polish and Spanish culture, history and traditions. At the end of the project the participants will popularize the results of the project by a video guide for leaders of youth organizations (VIDEO-book). The guide will be a presentation of the course, the results of the project and a way of disseminating the materials useful for work with young people developed during the training. There will also be an opportunity to promote values and common activities of young people in the framework of the Erasmus+.
