“Multi professional expertise – a key to inclusive education” is a project to ensure the Valteri centre for learning and consulting, Tervaväylä staff’s expertise in national and international development work. Tervaväylä’s one of the key tasks is to support the inclusive school over a wide geographical area. This task requires the latest information and methods.Project activities consists of three perspectives, all of which have slightly different objectives. Viewpoints are teaching and rehabilitation that support learning, guidance and counselling as well as school management.Teaching and rehabilitation that support learning objective is to achieve the latest international know-how for special education and pedagogical rehabilitation development. Especially project focuses on methods, evaluation, and using ICT in education which are important part of renewed national curriculum’s framework.In guidance and counselling objective is to become familiar with international inclusive education and latest research findings, how to practice consultative work and get good international practices. In school management, the key objectives are the development of educational management and quality management tools. In addition, the aim is to familiarize with multi professional management.Teaching and rehabilitation that support learning staff’s expertise will be reflected in the deepening of multi professional co-operation, strengthening of special education methods and pedagogical rehabilitation. Participating staff will be able to consult other workers in Tervaväylä. Guidance and counselling professionals will get the latest research findings and teaching methods. They can use these skills in consulting work and in-service training for professional personnel. This is a way to support local schools and inclusive education.The school management will get the European vision of development and management in multi professional working environment. In addition, the school management will get new working methods and quality management tools.The project consists of 2-3 days of seminars, a five-day courses and four days Job shadowing visits. The project includes 32 mobilities. They will be distributed via selection process to as many Tervaväylä employees as possible. Participants are from teaching and rehabilitation that support learning staff, guidance and counselling professionals and school management personnel.
