By implementing school development Project "Training from Craft to Art" Ukmergė Dukstynos school (Pic no. 931592075) aims at delivering its strategic objective, in line with the national program „ Lithuania 2030 ", to develop smart and competent school community, capable of lifelong learning and management of changes in the context of European dimension and multicultural environment. Referring to external and internal evaluation data on school performance, we decided to implement a two-year in-service staff training program, which is designed for teachers who wish to assimilate new teaching methods and tools, enabling all students‘creativity; to develop literacy skills and improve ICT competence; to develop European dimension individually and school-wide community competence. All (64) school educators (teachers, special, social and psychological assistants, administrators) will take active part in the Project. External consultants (district Educational Centre, Tourist Centre and museum professionals) will help them. Dissemination of the project will engage educators from other (18) district schools, eTwinning partners and representatives of the press. 12 experienced teachers, representing all (6) subject groups, having successfully passed the selection will represent our school in the mobility. A three-member project coordination (management) group will be responsible for the analysis of the situation, determination of priorities, preparation of the action plan of the project, filling out project applications, cooperation with the national agency and training provider.Main activities and executives of the project are: 1. Project coordination group and is responsible for the program preparation phase (summarizing best practices and establishing priorities of life-long learning, coordinating of linguistic and cultural preparation, preparing to present the school and country), 2. Project coordination and mobility groups are in charge of effective communication and collaboration (active relations with agencies and training centers, eTwinning activities, learning, mobility, ongoing self-assessment and feedback, summary and dissemination of the experience); 3. a coherent and correct monitoring of the development of the project outcomes and progress and appropriate and creative dissemination of the experience and findings will be carried out by the Project coordinators, mobility members. School management team. It is planned that European training mobility will be provided by DOMINOU ASSOCIATION (Romania, PIC no. 948731296) and CREF (Portugal, PIC no 948446892).The project participants will gain knowledge about students‘ creativity-inducing methods, new teaching tools, ICT possibilities and challenges. They will develop their team-work, project management and multicultural cooperation skills. Our school community will develop European attitudes and ability to recognize, tolerate and respect human ethnic, cultural and social origins, world-views, etc. Teachers will learn how to creatively and individually promote every student‘s (including disabled, minority and immigrant ) learning. During the project we will properly introduce our experience in developing citizenship, decision-making and lifelong learning competences, strengthen the image of the school , our home town and Lithuania. We will significantly develop our perception of European dimension of citizenship and find partners for professional communication and lifelong learning.
