Public institution Vilnius “Versmes” Catholic Gymnasium (VVKG) “Project of the personnel of educational, social and professional development of competences: starting with cognition of children with various needs and innovative education to strategic management” was carried out from 01-09-2014 to 30-06-2016. During the project relations were established with four partner organizations: Assomtion France, Rygards International School, Anglolang Academy of English and Anglo Continental language school. Cooperating with partner organizations the participants of the project attended courses, went on observation and teaching visits; there were 34 mobilities to France, Denmark and Great Britain. During the activities the open-ended cooperation agreement was signed with Assomption France – the organisation which unites 17 schools in France and applies assumption educational paradigm. Partnership relations with Rygards International School were established.
The aims of the project were to improve the teachers’ qualification and upgrade competences working with children with special needs, identify them, create favourable conditions for their development and give assistance they need, to develop general skills (communication in foreign languages, the use of IT and methods of studying) and to improve the strategic management of the school.
The participants were selected from different types of activities paying attention to personnel motivation, initiative, and capability to acquire innovations and apply them. Preparation of the participants in big and small groups was organized. During the mobility a coordinator was appointed who cooperated with the project manager. After the mobility the members of the project shared their experiences with the gymnasium community and outside the gymnasium in meetings, conferences, informal environment, using IKT and social networks. The participants of the project acquired competencies to work with children of various abilities and in culturally mixed groups and also organisational management, group work, cooperation knowledge and skills. The results of the project are long term, they promote the divided leadership and cooperation culture in the organisation, expand educational and governing work experiences and cognition of possible models.
