The research of needs of the Karmėlava kindergarten "Žilvitis" (2014) revealed three main needs and possibilities of improving the quality of preschool education: 1. Traditional ways of education do not satisfy needs of contemporary society; 2. Despite of experience in implementation of some in-culture collaboration, the integration of the institution to the European dimension is not sufficient; 3. The qualification of pedagogical staff is not sufficient in accordance with requirements of Lifelong learning society. The European Development Plan of institution and the project "Mokomės mokyti/s: naujų ugdymosi erdvių ir formų paieška darželyje" ("Learning to learn: in search of the new ways and spaces of preschool education") is prepared on these needs and possibilities of improving the quality of preschool education. The objective of this project: 1. Search and creating of innovative ways and spaces of learning/teaching. 2. Increasing of European dimension in the institution. 3. Ensuring and promoting the pedagogical and personal competences, the motivation of the teaching staff. The project main target group: preschool teachers. The implementers of the project: project work group and the teaching staff. Six teachers are selected to take part in in-service training abroad. The general criteria of selection was: motivation, aspiration of increasing of qualification and willingness to share experience. The main activities of the project: taking part in five trainings in Italy, Portugal and Iceland adaptation and integration to the curriculum of new ways/strategies/spaces of preschool education. Main themes of training: outdoor education, new ways of cultural education. The final result of the project: creating the list of adapted and integrated (curriculum) ways of outdoor education and new educational spaces. Dissemination of the project: 1. "Open" educational activities for the children and informal meetings with parents; 2. Creating of information center, blog of the project and informal meetings for teaching staff and all community of the school; 3. The articles in the websites of Kaunas region municipality, seminar "Learning to teach" and consultations for the interested teachers of Kaunas region and Lithuania; 4. Pictures exhibition for the community of Karmelava village. Impact of the project: Children's level: better quality of preschool education, integration of new, more effective ways of learning and spaces of education. Teachers' level: increasing of pedagogical and personal competencies and better motivation of pedagogical work. Organization level: increasing of European dimension; integration new educational strategies and spaces to the curriculum; making new contact with new European partners and revealing of new possibilities of Erasmus + program.
