Our project has developed on the basis of our school´s needs . Our school has got a big interest in taking part in great projects that the European Union offers and to raise the level of teaching English language. So far we haven´t taken advantage of any European projects offered. Enormous motivation of our teachers for professional development and better teaching have led us to change it. We would like to apply for school staff mobility funding, Key Action 1, especially for our English language teachers. We hope it will be our first successful step which will motivate and excite both our teachers and students. The aim of the project is to improve the level of teaching English language at our school, increase the methodology, quality and effectivity of our professional qualification and build active citizenship in our pupils through the foreign experience of the teachers. The project itself is set up to pass two intensive foreign teacher trainings, chosen according to the needs of the individuals to develop professionally as much as possible. We would like to get creative ideas to make our classes more lively and interactive, find some practical activities for teaching challenging classes, last but not least improve, refresh and update our English. Later all this knowledge will be implemented into our lessons. Our team which is applying for the project consists of all three English educators. The participants were chosen according to their teaching qualification. The first participant has got four years teaching experience, the other two participants teach for fourteen years. All of them would like to master new teaching techniques, methods and ideas how to make the lessons more interactive and lively. We have in common passion for further personal development, which is a good condition for successful accomplishment of the foreign course. We are planning to send the participants on two special teacher trainings in the United Kingdom. The courses will be focused on didactics and methodology of teaching English. The first year every participant will pass a training which will fit best hist needs. One year later the participant will attend the advanced course which will consolidate and evaluate the knowledge gained. One of the participants who is also the moderator of subject commission will not only study how to use new methods in education but also test new syllabus and learn about deep approach to language competencies. Speaking about the methodology of our project first we identified and analyzed the needs of our organisation. We came to a decision that the key thing is the improvement of methodological and didactical skills of our teachers and improvement of language teaching at our school. We decided to encourage out teachers for further development. After long discussion with every single educator we collected all necessary data and found the best option how to make the change. Later we assessed the suggestions and decided for participation in Erasmus+ through which we would like to train our teachers. The final step is to pass this knowledge to our students and make the lessons more interactive and interesting for them. We would like to write an article about our project on the school web (http://www.zsjakprerov.ic.cz/) which is visited by many people all over the country. We will also offer this article to be printed in the local newspapers, where we regularly report about the successes of our school. The participants will also report on their facebook accounts about the project and their experiences. The benefit of the project mainly lies in methodological and didactical improvement of the participants, raising their motivation and searching new forms and methods of work with students, including students with special needs. The impact of the project we see also in better knowledge of British history and culture through authentic experience. Better educated and more experienced teachers would mean a great contribution for our school. Our contacts will strenghten and motivation for furthet professional development will increase. Our long term goal is to open our school to another European activities and to build partnerships through which the pupils can not only improve speaking skills but they can discover the other nation´s cultural differences and similarities and build their own European identity.
