„Mobile cook in the European labour market – abroad apprenticeship in ZST Lubsko” is the first such project in school history including mobility of gastronomy students. There will be organized 40 meetings in Germany on the following dates: 30 Oct – 19 Nov 2016, 5 Feb – 25 Feb 2017, 22 Oct – 11 Nov 2017, 4 Feb -24 Feb 2018. Our partner in this project – Vitalis GmbH – is an organization cooperating with more than 200 small and medium-sized enterprises in the Leipzig and Halle area. The main goal of this project assumes realization and development of issues included in vocational educational program at European level, especially familiarization with new technology and comparing it to technology used in polish factories. Moreover, students will increase their experience in occupational and language field, acquire co-operative skills in international groups and be able to organize their workplace. One of the important features is the chance to increase students’ knowledge of foreign language and enlarge vocabulary. Furthermore, students will be familiar with German culture and become more likely to make new friends which can result long-term cooperation in the future. Undoubtedly, participation in this project will not only prepare the graduate for self-employment but also will give opportunity for better certification of qualification, like Europass Mobility Certificate. Likewise, we will be able to compare foreign educational systems and improve our vocational educational program. This project is based on the acquiring and acknowledgement principals under ECVET. Without any doubts, participation in the abroad apprenticeship will strengthen the sense of belonging to the EU. We hope that the participants will build self-confidence and become more open and independent. This project aims to achieve the goals of the European Union’s growth and job strategy “Europe 2020”, including the main goal in the educational field and other strategic goals. Furthermore, it meets the needs of increasing the mobility of young people to the EU countries, supports the occupational development, promotes the foreign language learning as a very important part of vocational education and personal development. The next aim is also the consolidation of good patterns and habits. Our trainees will develop their personality, become more creative and assertive. This project will bring hard results such as:• 40 participants• 40 Europass Mobility documents• 40 certificates of internship.There will be also soft skills like:• professional qualifications• readiness to continuing education or occupation• economic independence• better foreign language skills• better exam results• higher quality of education.Our project will contribute to active promotion of school and region, especially to the improvement of education quality and school attractiveness in local area. All these actions are to meet employers needs in searching highly qualified workers with international experience.
