Mobilność międzynarodowa kluczem do jakości edukacji zawodowej
Date du début: 15 déc. 2014, Date de fin: 14 déc. 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The project has responded to the needs of increasing the innovation and quality of education in catering and hotel industry occupations in schools in Milicz and Międzybórz. The Project has emphasized the necessity of amplification of intercultural competences (including linguistic) as well as the quality of practical learning. Students would not have developed the intercultural and linguistic competences and they would not have got familiar with the foreign labour market without going abroad. The teachers also have done a training that helped them to understand the market needs and challenges of modern education. The schools are struggling with the lack of practical learning places and with the small involvement of companies in the process of education. That is why employers were incorporated to this project. The plan contained activities for 60 students and 10 teachers and workers from host companies. Adequate foreign visits were worked out for each of the groups: -three-week internships in Germany for students, that have allowed them to improve their professional skills and experience new methods of work and governance in the international milieu. That has require the usage of the German and English language and have forced them to deal with a different cultural situations by themselves. - for the VET staff were planned practical courses and exchange of experiences with the German colleagues, as well as the participation of the local catering and hotel industry employers that realise the students internships in order to motivate both these groups to the stronger cooperation (as it is in Germany due to the dual system of vocational education and training). The aim for the VET staff was to get familiar with the German model of cooperation between schools and the economy and enhancement of motivation in implementing new teaching methods and amplification of the intercultural competences and practical skills on the European level. The cooperation between Faveo, Bildungsnetzwerk Magdeburg, schools and employers has allowed transferring the working methods of the 3rd sector into the public schools and it has brought these two sectors and the economy sector for the quality of education closer to each other. The main objective of the project was to increase the innovation and quality of practical vocational training in catering and hotel industry through raising the international mobility of students and teachers and through strengthening of the cross-sectoral, Polish-German cooperation network.
