The project " Staff mobility as the way to European integration"; was addressed to a group of 11 employees ( teachers and educational staff ) of Centre no 6 for Blind and Visually Impaired Students in Lodz ,Poland. The project was consistent with the objectives of mobility action of Erasmus + : increasing the level of key competencies , increasing quality, innovation and internationalization of educational institutions , the promotion of life long learning, enhancing the European dimension in education , improving learning / teaching foreign languages processes, promotion of the EU diversification of languages . The Centre Staff continually increase their qualifications, as working with disabled students require special preparation because of their impairment . A SWOT analysis and a survey carried out among the centre staff showed the main weaknesses :unsatisfactory level of international cooperation and European dimension in education. This condition was caused by among others, insufficient knowledge of English among the Staff . A European Development Plan was constructed containing improvement of staff and students language education and modernization of teaching processes in the school.
The overall objective of this project was to increase the European dimension of education in Centre no 6 for Blind and Visually Impaired Students in Lodz in the period 1.07.2014.- 01.07.2015 (modified by contract 2014-11-01 - 2015-10-31) through the implementation of mobility activities and participants preparation .
Specific objective 1 : Growth of language skills by 20 % of 11 Centre employees through participation in training abroad. Specific objective 2 : Increasing awareness of the importance of educational processes internationalization among Centre employees .
The project was planned for a period of one year starting on 01.07.2014 (modified by contact :2014-11-01 -2015-10-31)The first activity was the recruitment process conducted by the Enrollment Committee in accordance with the principle of equal opportunities. The next step was language and cultural preparation provided to the participants. The project participants were 11 teachers and educators of Centre nr 6 in Lodz. 10 people group were attending English language course in Malta, 1person was attending English methodology course in the UK. Organisation of mobility actions and other activities in the project was carried out by the Project Team. The Project Team was in charge of evaluation and monitoring .The Centre staff was trained in eTwinning and its tools . After completion of the project the results were disseminated through media and organization of the conference.

The project positively affected the performance quality of the Centre ,it increased the creativity and innovation of its educational processes The student were therefore also the beneficiaries of the project thanks to the quality of teaching processes improvement . The long-term benefit was the growth of the European dimension of education in the institution , and starting international cooperation constituted a synergy effect.
