Mobility pracovníků Centra jazykového vzdělávání Masarykovy univerzity v oblasti vzdělávání dospělých
Date du début: 1 sept. 2016, Date de fin: 31 août 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Masaryk University Language Centre (CJV) provides Languages for Specific Purposes and Languages for Academic Purposes training not only for full-time students but also for students involved in Lifelong education and combined studies students. CJV teachers are actively involved in adult education and need further professional development in this area. The reason for this is that Lifelong education and combined studies students deal with problems that are different from those of full-time students.Typical problems Lifelong education and combined studies students face include a limited amount of contact instruction hours, lack of time for preparation, insufficient language skills. The aim of the project is to gain new methodology, approaches and examples of good practice, which lead to better study results of students involved in Lifelong education and combined studies. These methods will be obtained by the participation of CJV teachers in workshops and conferences dealing with issues connected with Lifelong education, who will later share what they have learnt with their colleagues at their home institution. After a discussion with their colleagues, new methods will be implemented in the course materials and/or syllabi. Apart from these practical results, it is also expected that international networking will occur, new contacts will be made and internationalization will become more firmly grounded within our institution. All in all, there will be 14 places for CJV teachers to participate in 9 events (workshops or conferences). The languages the teachers have will range from English, German, French to Russian, and the teachers will come from several different faculties of Masaryk University. On the whole, about 360 Lifelong education students, who are taught by CJV teachers, will benefit in the end.By participating in the workshops/conferences, the teachers will be able to make the work with and for the Lifelong education students more effective, they will include new trends in blended learning and ICT, improve testing techniques and material design both in paper and electronic form. They will also gain insight into the most up to date international trends in adult education, academic skills, and autonomous learning. After the participating teachers come back from the events, they will hold internal “sharing” workshops in their departments. Subsequently, bigger workshops will be held in which all the CJV teachers can take part (regular events entitled Týden CJV, Čtvrtky CJV) and thus also teachers who did not take part in the events themselves can directly benefit and take part in the discussions, provide feedback etc. After the sharing workshops, new methods can be implemented into teaching students involved in Lifelong education and combined studies students.Improved language skills of learners involved in Lifelong education and combined studies learners will equip them with more confidence and also give them a better chance to get jobs in both local and global job market. This will also benefit Masaryk University by producing more competitive graduates who will spread the good name of its Alma Mater, both within the Czech Republic and internationally. It is possible to say that all this will have an impact on the intellectual and economic performance of the whole country and its strength and well-being.
