An important objective of Business College Copenhagen North is to strengthen the international dimension in the education and to enhance our students’ ability to operate in an international work environment.
Through this project, the students’ tolerance towards other cultures will be increased. Furthermore, their increased skills in the above areas will help the students in their future, further education.
The stays will take place in two 3-week flows, October/November 2016 and October/November 2017.
The students will study, work and stay in London or Brighton for 3 weeks. In London, a 1-week language course and a 2-week work placement. When they go to school, compulsory cultural tours will be planned during the afternoons. In Brighton, a 3-week work placement with language classes on some evenings and 1 weekend. There will also be compulsory cultural tours during the weekend.
Mobility stays for students from the EUD programme in the field of commerce, retail and administration:
The goal of this project is to send students to Gower College Swansea, Wales, UK, to München, Germany and to London, UK during the schools year 2015-2016 and 2016-17.
All mobility stays include language school for one or two weeks and training placement in companies (retail, commerce and administration) for one or two weeks. All stays are three-week stays.
The mobility project we have with Wales is based on student exchanges. First, the Welsh students come to Denmark to participate in classes at Business College Copenhagen North for one week and to have a two- week work practice. Half a year later the Danish students go to Gower College Swansea to follow a similar programme.
The purpose is to improve our students' competences in languages and internationalization, as these competences are part of KNORD's curriculum and therefore necessary to have in order to get the diploma. Moreover, this is a demand of all Danish vocational schools from The Danish Ministry of Education.
The purpose in general is to strengthen internationalisation in the vocational education that we offer at Business College Copenhagen North and to inspire our students to become more international, and experienced in the ways of the world. Additionally, the purpose is to improve their English and German language skills, as these are the languages we offer at our college. The students will be able to improve their competences in intercultural communication, and gain work experience from another country.
The enhanced focus on internationalization at our college will prepare the students for the future job market and strengthen their competitiveness when applying for a traineeship.
This project will add an extra European dimension to the EUD programme at our vocational business college.
