Mobilité Européenne Auguste Escoffier Eragny
Date du début: 1 juin 2015, Date de fin: 31 mai 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The Metiers Auguste Escoffier high school of Eragny sur Oise has been implementing a strategy of internationally directed studies since 2002. The enrolment in the ERASMUS + program has created a real momentum in 2014. The 19 scholarships granted to the school students allowed 26 students to benefit from a mobility through Europe for 8 weeks without increasing the school budget. The Czech Republic was added to the three countries initially selected thanks to the ACCOR Group and to the support of the Prague French Institute. Originally focused on the hospitality trades (hotel and restaurant), the 2015 project objective is to expand to the other trades offered by the school (bakery, electrical engineering, cooling and air-conditioning) and to expand to Germany. 31 students -mostly minors, from low-income families and enrolled in the A level senior year- should benefit from this mobility during the school year 2015-2016. Besides improving their practice of foreign languages and discovering new cultures and European lifestyles, the school hopes that its students will take advantage of this experience to develop their autonomy and initiative and to acquire new professional skills. The objective is to develop mobility habits and to promote our students integration in the workplace (or the pursuit of higher education) in France and in Europe. Students and families will benefit from a support program from April, placement will have been organised beforehand and an awareness program of the host country language will be implemented in the Spring. Finally an assessment of the progress accomplished in language proficiency will be done when the students return from their European experience. This approach of opening up to Europe and the world is a priority in our Education project and contributes to the promotion of vocational education in our field.
