Mobilité Européenne Auguste Escoffier Eragny
Date du début: 1 juin 2014, Date de fin: 31 mai 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

High School’s Auguste Escoffier’s project involves 18 pupils studying in a secondary school for vocational training in the Restaurant business (cooking or restaurant A level, enrolled in English or Spanish European section ).The project aims at giving the pupils 8 weeks work experience abroad with no cost for the parents. The educational objective is threefold: 1. Making the students ‘professional integration easier(in particular by encouraging them to go on with their studies) 2. Developing their knowledge of a foreign language by living in a host country for a long time. 3. Increasing the students ‘cultural awareness and the feeling of belonging to the European Union. The project builds on the vast experience already gained by the High School from previously settled British partnerships (Campanile company), Spanish(Paradores)and Finnish(Hotels/high-class restaurants in Helsinki). The project is led by the high school management team and three teachers with DNL degrees who are used to supervising work experiences abroad. The review committee shows the involvement of the whole of the educational community in this European and International opportunity, which is the main project of the High School. The families are also part of the project. The results can be appreciated as far as exam results are concerned (DNL,European grade),the rate of the students ‘further education and the number of business contracts signed in a country belonging to the European Union. A communication plan is made for the project: there is a dedicated space on the web site of the High School, European parties at the school restaurant and the Europass graduation ceremony… Eventually, the aim is to increase the number of students asking to be entered into the European sections, also the number of beneficiaries and to reinforce the European identity of the High School. Finally the school aims to promote the feeling of belonging to the European Union.
