PROJET
TERMINÉ
The project “Go, Give and Get more Competencies” (3GC) is focused on professionals working on adult education, namely organisations staff members or volunteers. The participants in the project are trainers, directors or volunteers working in the field of adult education. Participants’ profiles are rather different, which implies that the range of activities covered by their work is quite extensive.
The project involves 5 regional branches of the network CEMEA France : regional branch Aquitaine, Nord-Pas-de-Calais, Rhône-Alpes, Poitou-Charentes, Basse-Normandie and 2 Grenoble-based associations closely linked to CEMEA Rhône-Alpes: Big Bang Ballers and Coordination Montagne. Furthermore, there are 24 European partners in the project.
The life span of the project is June 2015 – June 2016. The CEMEA Rhône-Alpes proved expertise in mobility project management, their knowledge of project partners and their skills in guiding and supporting organisations not familiar with European project management will ensure the smooth coordination of this ambitious project. Four of its staff members will work on the coordination of the project. In order to do so, two steering committees will be put in place. Partner organisations will share roles and tasks in order to better support participants during their mobility.
The number of scholarships of this mobility project for adult education professionals corresponds to 885. The goals of the partnership are to give access to mobility to all (professionals, volunteers), to bring Europe close to its citizens and to strengthen citizenship and sense of belonging to Europe. The above-mentioned goals correspond to regional, national and European priorities, as well as multilateral and international ones: the strengthening of a network of actors in the field of non-formal education and the valorisation of associations’ work in Europe. The results obtained will also have a multiplier effect on education and training, on social cohesion, of local development as well on national and European level.
Given the lack of and/or inaccurate knowledge about European programmes, it is believed as necessary that adult education practitioners should be trained to intercultural issues. The main goals of this project in relation to professionals are therefore increasing their skills through learning of different training methods, reinforcing actions carried out in the socio-educational sector and working in an international environment. Professionals can as well develop new projects in their own organisations. Furthermore, in order to favour their employability, their mobility will be recognised and valorised with the Europass, which will validate both the work done and the skills and key competences acquired.
In addition to this, mobility is expected to have an impact on the content of the activities put in place and to have a multiplier effect at local level. Participants to the programme will become ambassadors of mobility and of the European citizenship.
Territories will therefore become more European in the fields of work of the project consortium partners.
In order to do so, consortium members will root their activities on three strategies:
Activity 1: Providing a training abroad: allow trainers to provide a training in one of our European partners
Activity 2: Work shadowing: staff members and volunteers can observe partners work, meeting other organisations, discovering and exchanging practices
Activity 3: Training seminar: deepen the understanding of a certain topic or field at a partner organisation
The main dissemination activities will be: web based valorisation, articles, testimonials, exchanges around the mobility, roundtables and conferences to valorise the project at local and regional level.
