The idea to look for inspiration how to improve the school‘s quality in other EU countries and the efforts for international school’s openness which could bring many benefits to all was the main motivation why to participate in this project. In total there are thirteen teachers and three members of the school management involved in the project. Eight teachers and three members of managment will perform job shadowing in four partner schools in the Czech Republic, with the same professional orientation. They are all specialist teachers across various fields of study in our school. Five teachers and one member of the leadership will participate in other EU countries structured courses. Teachers will perform 3- 5 day job shadowing in the partner schools, focusing on examples of teaching various subjects in different grades, demonstrations of practical training of students in vocational institutions, will get familiar with the curriculum of the vocational subjects as well as with the organization of teaching in special subject.Teachers engaged in job shadowing are expected to supply us with new ideas within their specialization. Comparing our and partner schools’ courses curriculum will ensure the modernization of our curricular and make conditions for further cooperation in the form of students’ mobility and it will allow the mutual recognition of learning outcomes. Teachers can imitate new methods and best teaching practices which will contribute to develop their core competencies.Management members become familiar with the management of the educational process and curriculum at hosting partner’s schools. Inspiring and the best management and organization practices will be applied to our curriculum as well as the possibilities for further cooperation with partners will be examined..Participants in training courses will improve their professional and language competencies. Member of the Head office will participate in the management course learning how to lead a working team, an English teacher will enhance new methods in English language teaching, one teacher goes on a course on the use of ICT in teaching and projects and two teachers go on a course of effective communication in English so that they can fully work in future international projects. One teacher goes to improve his skills in the design and management of European projects.Great results are expected - the launch of positive change , modernization of school curricula, improving the school management, and preparation to international school’s openness . Teachers improve their competencies, will be more motivated, which will also act on their students and attract the whole teaching process. We believe that it will improve the evaluation of quality of our school.In the long run the school envisages the development of all-round cooperation with partner organizations in different EU countries, allowing it to support the students’ and teachers’ mobility and this improve its quality and be better adapted to the students’ needs and the international labor market.
