The modern professional life demands increasingly an individual flexibility and mobility that also encloses the readiness to professional activities abroad. With the participation in mobility measures the opportunity is offered to the paticipants to collect professional experiences in other countries. In addition, they can compare the systems of professional and general education in other countries to her own experiences. The contact with students and instructors in the partner schools, during the project phases as well as with professional excursions and common leisure activities, raises the acceptance of other cultures about positive experiences and strengthens the European thought. The project is directed at 12 students of the year 12 of the professional high school of OSZ Elbe-Elster. The participants will explore within the scope of a 14-day stay in Latvia with students of the Latvian partner school companies on site to develop afterwards in international working groups marketing strategies for the companies, in particular under use of the information technologies. Possible results of the working groups can be advertising flyers, Internet-Blogs, video clips, Internet sites etc. In this respect the possibility comes up to the participants to move their primarily theoretically acquired knowledge practically. Beside the increase in technical, social, personal and intercultural compentence we look at it as another aim that the participants develop a critical look at the situation in their homeland and carry new ideas in the facilities on site. This practical course provides new skills and ideas for using the computer and other devices to teach English and for motivating learners through computer-based activities. Participants will come away with a range of materials adapted and produced on the course.The course also includes visits to secondary schools and aspects of Welsh Life & Culture.
