The "M.I.T.O. - Mobiliti Infermieri in Toscana "is the continuation of the good practices of former mobility projects succesfully implemented by the coordinator Galileo Progetti (EPIC - 2011, E.Sz.Sz.O. - 2013, FAN - 2013, INIFINITO - 2014), with new partners and innovative elements. In the frame of the project a 5-week professional internship for nurses practicioner students and social worker and nurse student and a 1-week mobility for teachers take place in Italy.According to ERASMUS+ KA1 regulations, a consortium was established consisting of Galileo Progetti Nonprofit Kft. (coordinator), BVHSZC Kanizsay Dorottya Szakképző Iskolája and Ferenczi Sándor Egészségügyi Szakközépiskola (senders). The applicant organization, the Budapest-based Hungarian-Italian Galileo Progetti Nonprofit Kft.'s activities focus on the development of the social sector and the dissemination of the lifelong learning model, particularly its European aspects, and for facilitating this organizes and implements mobility projects, international projects built on the exchange of experiences and good practices based on its extensive European partner network. The BVHSZC Kanizsay Dorottya Szakképző Iskolája actually has 540 pupils and 45 full-time educators. The school was transformed into a health professional secondary school in 1972. The school currenty offers vocational secondary school training and vocational high school training with NTR qualification, and post-secondary NTR training in the field of healthcare. The Miskolci Szakképzési Centrum Ferenczi Sándor Egészségügyi Szakközépiskolája started in 1957 as a health professional school, actually has 1168 students and 62 teachers. The school currently provides basic training with graduation, vocational training, formal and non-formal adult education. The schools organize the professional internships in national health and social services, where the students practice the skills, proficiency acquired at school with the management of trainers and educators. Both schools' professional program put a great emphasis on the preparation for lifelong learning, competency-based education, teachers' continuous professional development. The participants of the project are students and teachers from the two schools: 12 nurse practicioners (NTR: 52 723 01), 6 social worker and nurse (NTR: 34 762 01) and 6 teachers. The host institution is the Arca Cooperativa Sociale in Italy which manages numerous health, social welfare and educational services privately or in part with public institutions. The students are received by elderly care homes, day care institution for disabled run by Arca or one of its consortium members.The project aims to contribute to the objectives of the EU increasing mobility, with the organization of mobility projects allowing students and teachers to exchange experiences and best practices, mutual learning, to know different cultures - thereby giving a European outlook to the partners and participants, as well as a European dimension to the educational institutions' training offer. The M.I.T.O project intends to bring to the fore the mobility as a strument for competence development. The objectives of the teacher mobility is to offer the possibility for studying another European context via the training material provided by the host institution and job shadowing/direct osservation, a European outlook and exchange of experiences with professionals of another EU country, gaining a more in-depth knowledge about the mobility as a tool and the method of competence measurement and evaluation, and then building it into the schools' training offer widening the same, matching more effectively to the labor market needs and the required competences. The teacher mobility has a great value itself, in addition it forms the basis for the preparation of student mobility. The objectives of the student mobility are manifold. The internship provides an opportunity for students to develop their professional skills and competences in another European country, gives a view about the very complex activities of nursing care-rehabilitative institution in another country, can observe the public and private sectors synergic cooperation. The experiences in a foreign language environment a contributes also to the development of personal skills, to the achievement of a high level of autonomy in work and lifestyle as well. It is important to emphasis the opportunity for a mutual exchange of experiences and for expanding the partner network between the two partner schools from two different Hungarian regions, with same profile.The complex preparation process has a key role in achieving the multiple project objectives - as innovative elements a specific training is held about mobility, monitoring, competence measurement and evaluation, and also the host institution's tutors hold a training in Hungary.
