Mobile laboratory of legal medicine for emergency situations in the cross-border regions (LMLTRANSSU)

The project seeks to find common solutions by developing common institutions; thus within the project:1. a health system was developed, represented by a mobile laboratory of intervention in emergency situations;2. periodic meetings were organised between the members of the research team, trainings and joint conferences, joint training strategies were developed, consisting of intervention protocols in emergency situations, which were created by the members of the joint intervention team. Another important objective was to inform and increase public awareness regarding the danger that emergency situations represents. The research programme had the following specific objectives: teamwork (a multidisciplinary team consisting of experts and the two countries), the creation of an intervention core on a regional level (training of a qualified staff by specialists in emergency situations), creating models and intervention protocols in various emergency situations, according to the needs of cross-border communities, the economic and administrative requirements of the area, and intensive use of electronic media in order to increase the effectiveness of team work and dissemination of results.The target group is formed by 1,149,618 people, enterprises, nongovernmental organisations, and governmental institutions, organisations.The main activities of the project are: developing intervention plans for emergency situations, organising the professional trainings, purchase of equipment.Among the project results: 1 joint intervention team, 1 mobile laboratory of legal medicine, 4 conferences, 200 broshures.
