It is a short-term educational stay in London (UK) for early years students who study information technology and public-law service. There will be 20 participants, 12 IT pupils and 8 public-law service pupils. The school InterDACT, s. r. o., will provide a language course focused on English language for special purposes. The course will be held on a regular basis before the educational stay. Within the project the pupils will gain the knowledge of the newest public administration methods, information processing and IT technologies. The participants will grasp new practical skills in the field of modern technology and IT development and they will learn about the UK public administration. The IT pupils will assist the firms with failure-free computer network operation. They will work with hardware and software, they will install and administrate operation systems and peripherals. The public-law service pupils will practise activities connected with office work. They will process and cope with various information sources. They will use IT technology. They will process and create documents and related materials. The length of the educational stay has been arranged. It will last for 14 days. It will probably be realized at the turn of November and December 2014. As some of the participants are under age of 18 there will be a teacher (InterDACT) accompanying the applicants during their stay. The intermediary partner ADC College will arrange the stay in London companies and firms for the participants (the pupils). The pupils will participate in everyday business company routines as if they are regular employees of the companies. The main aims of the project are the improvement of pupils´ practical skills through the agency of educational foreign stay, the rise of motivation to communicate in English language and language skills improvement as such. Other project objectives: the improvement of study subject perception as the support of employment in Czech and European labour market, international partnership establishment as the cooperation between EU nations and understanding of cultural differences and similarities. The project activities will help the pupils to eliminate language barrier. The main aim and profit of these activities is to increase competitive ability of the participants in the labour market thanks to the language and practical experience during the educational stay in Great Britain. The participants will learn how to be more independent, responsible, self-confident and co-operative. They will broaden their cultural horizons and also ethic al and aesthetic knowledge concerning their field of study.
