The Participants of the Project will be 30 students of Zespol Szkol Gastronomiczno-Hotelarskich in Bytom: a technician of hotel industry, a technician of nutrition and household. Bytom, where our school is located, is characterized with the high rate of unemployment – 21, 5%. Vocational education based on work practice in our country and abroad is the possibility for young people to find work more easily and to experience mobility regarding their professional skills - they can work in different places and they are experts in their area. The possibility to work in a real company will enable the Beneficiaries group to work as a team and to take responsibility for the quality of their work. The host organization , Tellus Limited which is a training center, will provide the Beneficiaries with both – cultural and language training and possibility of practical training at workplaces.It is a dynamic organization, which we cooperate with fine results. The four-week traineeship will take place in Rome and Salamanca in two turns in years 2016 and 2017, Each time a group of 15 carefully chosen benericiaries will go with one chaperon . The period of language-cultural preparation and the places of practical training - Spanish and Italian hotels and restaurants -are carefully chosen to meet the beneficiaries' needs and make the education effective to further improve the skills at foreign workplaces, in particular those connected with the Mediterrenean and Spanish cuisine.ZSGH will provide all the logistics for the beneficiaries: insurance and care, workplaces according to their needs, accommodation, transport and food. The aim of the Project is to improve the vocational competence of our students at a workplace - facing real life situations experiencing work at places with European standards, gaining experience different from the one they can get in Poland. As a result the youth taking part in the Project will be able to assess their preparation, vocational competence and practical skills enriched with vocational foreign language practice in the Southern European job market. The aim of the Project is also to encourage the students to learn foreign languages and increase language competence by the Beneficiaries, mainly within the professional vocational linguistic area. A foreign language becomes a tool used in their professional work.Another result will be an increase of their self-esteem. One of the long term benefits of the project will also enabling our students, especially those at risk from social ills and social exclusion, to find employment after graduation, raise their mobility in job searching and to find out the labour market orientation needs- experience exchange and cooperation with workplaces. The partners of the Project will be able to assess the level of Beneficiaries' practical knowledge, verify their skills and specify their usefulness on the European labour market after their traineeship and education process. It will be the base to prepare the feedback and evaluation of the participants vocational skills. The results of the project will be visible in the school and local environment.
