The aim of the project 'Młodzi mobilni - sięgajmy po więcej' prepared by Zespol Szkol im. ks. J. Tischnera in Dobczyce near Cracow in Poland is to acquire by the participants additional occupational competence by developing their knowledge and skills in IT, catering and hair and beauty and use them in practice in a real work environment. They will find out about modern, innovative technologies and develop their language competence using English in communication. Four groups of students (16 students in each group) from IT, hair and beauty and catering from Zespol Szkol im. ks. Jozefa Tischnera in Dobczyce will be sent to a two-week apprenticeship in companies in London organized by ADC College. IT students will have apprenticeshipin the following companies: Brightbox Marketing, Chiswick Computer, Computer Aid International, Covent Garden Dragon Hall Trust, Finchley Computer Center, hitech Computer Repairs, KF Computers and Imaging. Catering students in Cafe Rive Gauche, Cleveland Hotel, Crowne Plaza London the City, Holiday Inn Bloomsbury, InterContinental London Park Lane, Marriot Hotel Maida Vale, Renaissance Hotel Heathrow, Travelodge Tower Bridge, and hair and beauty students in Roxy Beauty, Shades Tanning and Beauty, Essensuals Hairdressing, Andy Hair Studio, HOB Baker Street, Toni ang Guy Ealing. The apprenticeship will be held: hair and beauty - 08.11.2015 - 21.11.20015, catering (first group) - 22.11.2015 - 05.12.2015, IT - 28.02.2016 - 12.03.2016 nad catering (second group) 13.03.2015 - 26.03.2016. Sixty four students at the age of 17-18 and eight teachers will take part in the project. Participation in the project increases occupational and language competence of the students and their chances on a job market. They will also develop social and individual skills, it enhances their self-esteem, confidence, responsibility, ability to work in a team. The acquired skills will be confirmed by Europass Mobility and ECVET. The students come from Dobczyce or nearby rural area with high unemployment rate. The project intends to increase knowledge and to develop skills in reference to the needs of a job market, promotes vocational training in the real job environment which will result in greater attractiveness of participants among employers and will increase their employability. Moreover, the project is connected with the school needs stated in the school european development plan and quality plan. Our school is planning to develop contacts and cooperation with partner organisations from other European Union countries which will lead to internationalisation of vocational training and exchange of experiences and good practices with partner organisations. In the long term it will improve not only the quality of vocational training but also foreign languages competence and knowledge about cultures and culture differences in European Union countries. Participation in the mobility will motivate students to learn and extend their knowledge. What is more, the project will foster to adjust vocational training to the needs of local, regional and national job markets as well as will enhance the region development by providing vocational training in trades where there are shortages.
