Mladí z Plasů v Evropě
Date du début: 1 sept. 2016, Date de fin: 31 août 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The implementation of the project “The Youth of Plasy in Europe” is scheduled for the 2016/2017 school year. The project will begin on 1 September 2016 and end on 31 August 2017. In that time we wish to implement 3 cycles of the project. Each cycle will provide 8 students of our school with hands-on work experience in Portugal. Students of Veterinary Medicine and Agribusiness will take part. Owing to positive experience we have again chosen an experienced non-profit organization as our partner, who will arrange the internships at veterinary clinics and on farms. The internships are intended for students of the second, third, or fourth year of study, aged between 16 and 20. Because of the participation of underage students, supervisors will also need to be present. The internship will last 2 weeks, with 10 full working days. Upon agreement with the veterinary clinics and farms the students will work at least 6 to 8 hours a day (lunchbreaks or coffee breaks excluded). The cooperation on the project will be secured by a contract, both with the partner organization and with the participants. The project roles will be clearly defined, which will enable us to monitor how the activities agreed upon are being carried out, as well as help with the evaluation of the programme. We shall use the documents recommended by The Centre for International Cooperation in Education (DZS): the participant’s contract, the Learning Agreement, and the Quality Commitment. To certify the internships we will issue the internationally recognized Europass Mobility Certificate in English. Since the students will engage in activities directly connected to their area of study, their internships will be eligible for recognition by their future employers. The whole programme is planned as an integral part of the students’ studies, and conveniently supplements the Framework Education Programme. During the internship the students will also be acquainted with the Work Health and Safety Regulations. We have chosen our partner organization based on the successful implementation of an Erasmus+ project from 2015 and also thanks to our mutual willingness to cooperate further. It is mainly due to positive experience, praise received from the participants of the project, and the fulfilment of the goals which we set for the past project. The partner organization is able to arrange the internships at the individual veterinary clinics and farms to our full satisfaction, which leaves us more room for better management of the project. We can make use of their know-how as well as the fact that it is an organization from the given region with Portuguese-speaking employees. The quality of the A.I.A.M. non-profit organization can be confirmed by other schools as well, even from the Czech Republic, which have already implemented projects in cooperation with this organization. The quality of the project is guaranteed by a clear structure of the project team and the division of roles between us and our partner organization. With the help of the project we wish to increase the level of practical skills of our students. We think of international mobility, the students’ acquisition of new skills, and the development of their thinking in broader terms as a necessity, not as something extra. Thus we are also able to address our students’ needs regarding their professional, social, and personal development. Another motivation for this project has been not only the students’ desire for such activities, but also the interest of their potential employers in graduates with a broader range of skills and international experience. We also expect an improvement of the students’ attitude to their studies. Suitable elements of the internship may then be adopted in our own teaching or considered in terms of the demands on Czech internships. An advantage of the project is the fact that the participants’ work experience will form a part of their studies. Students will also fully utilize their language skills and practise specialized English. By implementing the project we wish to fulfil the goals of the European Union regarding secondary vocational education and student mobility. Furthermore, we are fulfilling the goals of the Erasmus+ programme regarding the cooperation between schools and businesses. The project is also in accordance with the development strategy of our school and complements the Framework Education Programme. Its main contributions will have a positive impact on our students. Thanks to new experience and newly established partnerships the results will be long-term.We wish to provide information about the project on our school website, notice boards, or on our Facebook page. Information will be provided to all target groups of the project as well as to parents. Dissemination of the results is going to be carried out in relation to the education authority, prospective students, as well as the general public, which includes the future employers of our graduates.
