ТHE CONTEXT:Bulgarian Memory Foundation (BGMF) represents the following project of Erasmus+ KA3 “Support of policy reform”, on the topic: “Youth forum for entrepreneurship and demography”. The project idea is based on: 1)the one of the main "Europe 2020" Strategy’ priorities for inclusive growth related to a high-employment economy, which to deliver economic, social and territorial cohesion2)the Communication of the European Commission on: "The demographic future of Europe - from challenge to opportunity", focusing on the job creation in the Regions as well as on the regional and social implications of population;3)the one of the main objectives of the "National Youth Strategy 2012 - 2020" in Bulgaria – promoting youth entrepreneurship to foster social inclusion of young people and representing it as an opportunity to revive the economy and to create a real "European entrepreneurial spirit".THE MAIN GOAL:The main goal of the project is to influence the youth policy, which has a horizontal character, by focusing on the liaison of entrepreneurship, youth employment and demographic challenges through conduction of a structured dialogue with policy makers in the field.On the one hand, the youth entrepreneurship will be considered as an opportunity to create sustainable jobs opportunities, especially in the small cities of the country and on the other hand, as a way to cope with the existing demographic challenges related to migration processes. THE TARGET GROUP:The target group of the project will be young people from across the country (100 in total) aged 17 - 30 years, expressing interest and having ideas on the topic. Taking into consideration the previous experience and existing network of BGMF, more than 50% will be from the cities of Blagoevgrad, Dobrich and Smolyan, characterized with mixed ethno - religious composition and population with low social status. THE ACTIVITIES:The project foresees 10 types of activities that could be divided into 4 main parts: *preparation and organization; *educational part, related to the development of 4/8 competencies within Youthpass, as well as of strategic, analytical and critical thinking, which are necessary to influence and pursue effective structured dialogue with decision and policy makers;*dissemination and analysis of results; *preparation of final report.The forum will be divided into three key panel sessions: First day: "Be inspired", related to an exchange of inspiring entrepreneurial personal stories of young entrepreneurs as well as to the EEN presentations, revealing the opportunities for SMEs in Europe; Second day: "What we want to improve" related to the accumulation by young participants of recommendations and proposals for youth entrepreneurship; Third day: "What's our plan”related to a creation of plan which will be a results from the structured dialogue and youth empowerment. The plan will contain possible solutions for tackling youth unemployment and demographic crisis in the country, through youth entrepreneurship. The activities will take place for three days in Sofia, Bulgaria.During the project will be implemented the following methods: Discussion methods, active, interactive and situational methods of informal learning, as well as methods developing developing 4/8 of Youthpass' competences. THE METHODOLOGY:Discussion methods, active, interactive and situational methods of informal learning, as well as methods developing 4/8 of Youthpass' competences will be implemented during the project.THE EXPECTED RESULTS AND IMPACT:The expected impact of the project is to draw the attention of the policy makers in the field of youth, education, employment, social and economic policy on the important role of youth entrepreneurship in the context of youth unemployment and demographic challenges. At the end of the forum it's foreseen to be prepared a plan of measures, which aims at stimulating entrepreneurial activity and spirit among young people at national and local level. THE LONG-TERM BENEFITS:The long-term benefits of the project are related to: the improvement of the communication policy towards young people through raising awareness on the importance of youth entrepreneurship by: *conducting discussions, mitigating the traditional bureaucratic approach; *revealing the existing opportunities for education and employment for young people in the small cities of the country; *representing the relationship between demography-entrepreneurship-youth unemployment; *implementing innovative approaches in the formulation of measures related to the youth policy in the context of youth entrepreneurship. The young people will acquire as well certain skills which are important for the participation of youth in the process of policies' formulation which concern them. The project aims to empower young people and to motivate them to generate a change in their cities of residence through different entrepreneurial initiatives.
