Mission Europe aims to give young Europeans a “taste” of other European languages and cultures through the medium of radio. The series works on the basis of the similarity between a quest and the struggles of someone trying to understand the language and culture of a foreign country. The project has developed three exciting radio adventures - “Mission Berlin”, “Misja Kraków” and “Mission Paris” - each of which comes in 26 five-minute episodes and offers an original bilingual approach. The heroes of each adventure think in the language of their listeners and discover the language and culture of a foreign country as their adventures unwind. The series features a gamer and his/her on-screen avatar absorbed in a mission to conquer a band of time-travelling terrorists. The heroes’ lives are in danger and to uncover the enemy they must learn to get by in the local language.
