MIND THE GAP

Four schools from four countries are going to work together to create an European newspaper using English as the working language. The central topic of our newspaper will be education on gender equality. We intend to "bridge the gap" between our pupils, that is why we want to call our newspaper "The Bridge". We want to follow the traditional pattern of a newspaper, consequently our newspaper will be divided into different sections. "The Bridge" will enable us to work cross-curricular using new technologies. However, we do not want to forget the traditional form of a newspaper, the printed paper. Consequently, the final result will also be a printed newspaper , which will be distributed among students, teachers, parents and public organizations in our community. One of the stages of our work will be the dissemination of the final result. We are ready to prepare four editions of "The Bridge". Each country is going to be responsible for one edition, this "editor school" will be the destination country for the other partners' visits. It is also our intention to involve local institutions. Local media will collaborate with the project by offering our students some practical lessons about newspaper editing . Creating "The Bridge" will develop an active and creative attitude in the students. The main aim of the project is to foster independent learning and research as well as being creative . We are really convinced that our project “ MIND THE GAP” will offer all the participants, students as well as teachers , the possibility to gain new insights and experiences, to develop something new and innovative and to build a bridge, which will allow us to feel close and equal.
