Youth seminar will be held over three day period from 13th -15th of august in Udu Talu, Palamuse Parish, Jogeva County. There will be about 50 participants. The idea for this project was born from the wish to attract and to activate youngsters to think and discuss about their oppurtunuities to be involved in decision making process. How they can give their contribution to the development of their community. How they can contribute that topics that are important to them would be discussed and their opinion will be asked. The object of this project is to bring decision and policy makers closer to youngsters and to youthwork. And to give youngsters an oppurtunity to speak up on topics that are importan to them.The idea is to involve and activate youngsters who are not active in any of the youth organisations and who think that their opinion is not important. We like to show the that we (youthworkers, decision and policy makers) do care, and by them speaking up we are able to conciderate their proposal when decisions have been made. Over the three day we will use different methods and workshops to get youngster to open up and talk about their vision for their community. One of the workshops is called Forum Theater, there will be two different subject: " Ways to be involved and ways to involve" and " How will you reach out to decision makers". There will be a workshop where youngsters and policy makers can discuss, different topics, such as "What could be different in our community", "What works well in our community" and "How can I make a different and contribute to our community".There will be a simulated "Council meeting". Where youngsters and policy makers can discuss pros and cons for reuniteing Jogeva town and Jogeva Parish.Hopefully in the end of this seminar, we have youngsters who are intrested to speak up and they are not affraid to make proposals.
