MIGRATION-Challenge for European Rural Development

MIJARC Europe, as sending organisation, will coordinate a 4-days Seminar, taking place in Mollina (Spain) on the theme of Migration, planned to involve 38 rural young people coming from 9 different countries in Europe (Portugal, Spain, France, Belgium, Germany, Poland, Bulgaria, Hungary and Romania).Through non-formal education methods (working groups, icebreakers, energizers, pedagogical games, field visits, debates, brainstorming, plenary sessions with presentations by experts and participants, sharing of knowledge and best practices, world café) and informal moments (thematic evenings), participants will be leaded to "see, judge and act" on the realities surrounding the Migration phenomenon."MIGRATION - Challenge for European Rural Development" seminar aims to make participants:- exchange on realities in their rural areas and best practices on the topic;- analyse the impact of migrations on the welfare of European rural areas;- build a common understanding of the situation of migration in the world in general and in Europe more specifically;- agree on common strategies so that migration can contribute for a sustainable rural development in Europe and the rest of the world (finding solutions to improve the image and dignity of migrants, create possibilities of dialogue between migrants and the hosting community for a better mutual understanding,...);- reflect on the choice to migrate or not from rural areas and its impact;- reach critical conclusions to constitute the basis of a position paper from the partner promoters and creation of a campaign on the topic.
