MigrAtion and SporTs - a CHallenge for Sports Associations and Trainers
Date de fin: 22 août 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Migration appears as one of the biggest challenges for the European societies and political systems. A common growth and wealth with social integration is only possible if it could be achieved to use the potentials of migrations and approach the challenges attached to it. Besides its positive function for personal health and fitness as well as its economic power, sports could have a core role of support of these integration processes of migrants in the European countries. At the same time this new role creates new challenges for trainers, responsible persons in sport associations especially on the level of amateur sports which they are only able to approach with limited resources. Integration of migrants on the level of sport associations, teams and social events, during victory and loss as well as planning of common activities is very often not only a language but also a intercultural challenge which could be mastered in a much better way, if responsible persons would have more experiences, knowledge and competences about intercultural issues. The exchange of experiences about the integration of migrants through sports as well as the deduction of concrete recommendations for action and support programmes in the participating countries is the core aim of the current learning partnership project. The main aim of the learning partnership project is the mutual exchange of approaches and experiences as well as the collection of best practice approaches in the field of integration of migrants through sports. Main outcomes:Identification of intercultural competences and training needs ;Collection of good practice examples ;led to practical Guidelines and recommendations for trainers and sports associations in the field of integration ;Project website;Public final conference presenting the project results in Austria/Styria/Graz with over 50 participants from eight nations (AT, BA, IT, HR, LT, PL, PT, UK) ; and more outcomes visit - www.match-eu.at
