'The international music meeting' is a project stimulating teenagers by music and dancing. Music can link generations and nations, it's a universal international language, which will be spoken by everyone during the replacement. The goal of this project is to give young people opportunities to improve their dancing skills and to get to know music and dancing culture of different countries by the promotion of folk music. Within the framework of this undertaking there will be many open air performances as well as professional concerts in front of the wide audience in Bydgoszcz. Moreover, there will be organised various workshops of creativity, improving gifts, skills and passion for music. The purpose of participation in these workshops is to improve and form artistic sensitivity. Common concerts will help to take self-confidence and they will create excellent opportunities to present skills gained during the workshops. What is more, they will be a chance for teenagers to develop good social attitudes. Aside from music, in this project will be also held activities promoting the culture of all participating countries. During the international meeting all groups will present their counties in a funny way. In their free time young people could visit the city, where the project will take place. The guide of the city tour will provide many interesting facts about the history, music, culture and famous people from Bydgoszcz. The teenagers could check their perceptiveness and use their knowledge in a educational game in the city in the custody of the guide. All the activities of groups participating in this project will give teenagers a chance to improve their language skills by the contact with boys and girls at the same age. This project will influence on the multicultural dialogue, involving young people from Poland, Ukraine and Portugal. They could take part in sport events, art, water sport and language lessons, what will be a great chance to meet each other. The undertaking will decrease the problem of the teenagers from villages, who are expelled because of the lack of the access to education and culture. The participants of this project will be dance groups from mentioned countries, who specialise in folk dancing. We expect that the young people will improve their experience and get new skills and after returning they will spread them in their countries by encouraging others to take part in such projects or they will lead new interesting projects. Furthermore, we hope that they will make friends with teenagers from other counties, which will last in the future. The growth of artistic skills will be something new for young people( especially for those from villages, who are expelled because of the lack of the access to education and culture) and it will influence and intensify the feeling of self-confidence and openness. For the organizations who will take part in this project it will be a chance to begin the partnership and the beginning of cooperation in the future.
