"International Window on the World" is a project within which youngsters from partner countries (Poland and Croatia) will implement their ideas on raising public awareness of disabled, their needs and expectations. The project creates also an opportunity of getting to know foreign language and culture. For disabled this may be the only, unique chance. Active inclusion of people with disabilities and their full participation in society is one of the most important EU issues. Making this project happen means fulfilling project goals, i.e. :-activation of young participants of the project-engaging disadvantaged youngsters-integration of disabled and able-bodied40 participants will take part in the project (20 from Poland and 20 from Croatia). Young participants (under 30) will be people from every walk of life, countryside and big cities. During the project workshops sensibilising to the disabled and acceptance will be held. These will be simulations, where participants will face the impairments and its consequences. For each impairment there will be couple of tasks representing various everyday struggles of disabled.At self-presentation workshops participants will learn techniques of presenting themselves in front of other people. Polish and Croatian culture evenings, sightseeing tours, workshops will enable participants to get to know the culture, tradition and mentality of partner nationalities. Publication of project's results will take place in the last days of the exchange and after the end of the main activities.Its goal is to attract youngsters and other organisations by the advantages of a project like this. On project's facebook site information about the exchange will be posted. The project will make an impact long after its end due to lasting results, causing new local, national, European and international projects, especially as part of Erasmus+ Programme.
