Mi pueblo y yo. Encuentros de jóvenes con responsables municipales de juventud, is a project of citizen participation within the framework of the structured dialogue on youth set by the EU. The project will be developed in 4 villages in the region of La Sagra Toledo where Kieu Project is performing both local and European activities in partnership with local municipalities. It consists of three play and working meetings in each of the participating municipalities that will connect young people with local political leaders and their councils. It also includes a fourth meeting where the participants of the four municipalities where regional and European youth policy aspects will be addressed. The main objective of the project is to obtain useful results in the construction of local and regional youth policy from the perspective of citizen participation through the encounter between young and municipal policy makers. Also bring young people the functioning of democratic institutions and the role of those responsible for decision-making within these institutions.Moreover the project will actively contribute in sensitizing both policy makers and youth work as well as young people on active citizenship, participation and rights and obligations that come with being informed and responsible citizens.Whereas the basis of participation is precisely the dialogue we understand that the cornerstone for this dialogue to be fruitful is trust. Thus in the sessions of joint work between youth and politicians will work on two levels: intellectual, about concepts, needs, budgets, resources... and other emotional level that allows the generation of community ties and trust between the two public summoned. In this way, novelty of this project is that the methodologies used include both elements of intellectual analysis (always from methods of non-formal education) as Ludopedagogía methodology; which will allow the meeting between the participants is made from a human point of view, between people, because "after playing together, our relationship changes, we're friends" as reads one of the basic principles of this methodology.Throughout the various meetings will also invite experts in political participation, youth work in the municipalities and the region (technicians of municipalities and the Government of CLM, expert facilitation and group techniques) to contribute their knowledge on the subject and allow interaction between young people and politicians is fluent, helpful and fun.
