The two schools have been keeping a brotherhood relationship for more than a decade now. Numerous sports events, camping for children, excursions and other interesting programs for the communities of the two villages and for the people of the adjacent settlements have been organized since then. The locations of these events could be found in both Hungary and Slovakia.The above mentioned programs have influenced 650 children directly and 220 families indirectly so far. 57 teachers from the faculties of the Hungarian and Slovakian schools have participated in the preparational and organizing work.To keep up the tradition of good relations the affected institutes need to find additional financial resources which they find rather difficult. With the fulfillment of the project the pupils should get a chance to have their summer and winter break time in a more profitable way by forming friendships, practising their mother tongue on a higher level and by acquiring an environment protective approach.The teacher conference is a great opportunity to broaden the pedagogues horizon by learning new methods and sharing experiences. The locations of these events were both in Hungary and in Slovakia. The project helped to keep up the tradition of good relations of the affected institutes by organizing school camps (Hungarian and English language camps, historical, craft and ski camp), excursions to the National Theatre and the Opera house. Teaching environmental consciousness to students was also a priority when organizing the events.
