The METRO project aims to develop a training course on Metallurgy, targeted at those wishing to develop or expand upon their knowledge in this field. Project partners will begin by defining the requirements for an e-learning Metallurgy course and will subsequently develop and pilot all relevant teaching materials with the pilot involving industrial representatives from the sector. End project results will comprise a Metallurgy training course, a series of support manuals and a dedicated web platform. Project beneficiaries include existing employees in the field of metallurgy (technicians, engineers); students undergoing technical training; university students; young graduates; unemployed persons and managers/owners of related SMEs. Dissemination will involve the release of articles to specialist press; a targeted mailing to relevant stakeholders; local, national & international networking and the presentation of project outcomes during appropriate seminars and conferences.
