Building upon the results of 2 previously-funded Grundtvig projects, the META-EUROPE project brought together partners from 8 European countries to develop a new In-Service Training (IST) course. Targeting adult educators and teachers, the new IST course - which continues to be delivered - focused specifically upon media training and the importance of using new technologies. The goal of the project was to both increase the number and broaden the range of participants in media competence training, in particular those undertaking training through less-formal routes. The primary output for the project was the planned IST Course on Media Competence.
