One of the most important principles of the European Union is the free flow of services and labor. The Basic need for ensuring this is to unify the qualifications in different countries, regarding Hungary and Slovakia this is not evident at the moment. The warrants in the different vocational trainings are not valid in the neighboring countries. This planed project is the first step in the accreditation procedure of vocational trainings in the two countries, which in the long run will enable the free flow of the less qualified labor force through the borders. Free and flexible flow of the labor would help the employment furthermore increase the settling of new competitive industries and the self employment, supply of the local markets etc. On the other hand this project is important to train the professions that have shortage in labor. There are plenty of professions just as in Hungary as in Slovakia, that neither have accredited vocational trainings nor any profession registry number (OKJ). Is to be feared that without any training background these professions are going to diminish like: leather dress maker, bell founder, wax founder, jewel buffer, wood flooring etc. these professions have little market but if we think in the two country s market, then it is efficient. To appoint which professions will be taught we will make a market research, for those that will be taught we would like to make its curriculum. Later on up to date visual and written training materials that can be used in distant learning will be made and accredited in the two countries. Achievements: The projects overall objective was to enhance the business activity in the border area of Slovakia and Hungary; to increase the number of SMEs willing to establish cross-border cooperation and to strengthen the free movement of capital and services in HU-SK relations. Comparative studies on vocational education formed the basis for harmonization of the two countries systems. Project partners developed 8 curricula and signed an agreement about the mutual recognition of training programmes.
