The project will promote the training of tutors in stone processing and carving sector. There is an evident mismatch between labour force skills and marked demands; a need for renewed/updated training of trainers caused by technological innovation; computers and micro-electronics, decrease in using hand tools, increased access to large variety of materials and processes, development of e-commerce and increasing emphasis on safety issues. Need analysis is to be done about teacher’s competencies; Change in the role of teacher creates need for establishing 14 e-learning modules for teacher training containing the latest innovations in the industry. The project will establish a common methodological framework for development of new competence-based curricula applicable on European basis; monitoring the European training models, curricula and the best practices in the field. The aim is (1) To provide 14 training modules for 14 sub-occupations; (2) To pilot the test curricula and adjust it according to feedback from users and SMEs; (3) To create an on-line system for exchange of experiences and best practices. The results will be disseminated through partner network. Eventual certification of the e-learning solution, nationally. Participating countries: BG, PT, FI, TR
