Date du début: 1 sept. 2015, Date de fin: 30 avr. 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The aim of the project titled Mentor(ed) – aspects of intercultural partnerships is supporting the intercultural approach in youth work involving partners from 7 European countries by this enhancing the quality and acceptance of youth workers’ and other professionals’ work. In the framework of this project we implemented a tandem training with aiming at youth (preferably with fewer opportunities) and their mentors, youth workers, active youth engaged in youth work related to them working together in pairs (2+2 youngster and youth worker by each partner, from Latvia 1+1 participants). Our project reflected on the priorities of Erasmus + Programme (quality proof on the field of youth work, promoting intercultural dialogue, raising the acceptance of non-formal and informal learning, sharing good practices within an international partnership, improving key competences) regarding either the applied methodology or its syllabus. In the course of the project the intercultural encounters and deeper aspects of learning got into our focus of examination. Beside that we underlined and reflected on the relationships coming to be in helping field and professions (mentor-mentee, youth worker and youth etc.) The objective was raising the awareness to the strong need of the reflexing approach of helper role. The outcomes of the project can be measured at individual, tandem and organizational level. These are the professional development of youth workers; deepening competences, learning process and civic activity of youth; strengthening cultural awareness, understanding and social inclusion, supporting acceptance of non-formal and informal education and build up a stronger, equal partnerships between young people and youth workers,. A tangible result of our project was a blog, created by the participants during and after the training course: https://getinvolvedsite.wordpress.com/. In this blog we collected personal opinions, best practices and activities about intercultural learning and intercultural partnerships. The participants were asked to adapt the good practices, activities learned during the training. We hope, that through our project we motivated the participants and partners to build further cooperation within their organizations and to think and plan the establishment of a spiritual core for a further project. In the last round (2016 R2) we already applied with more project ideas in Erasmus+, based on the results, ideas what were born during this project, and we would like to create a methodical tool to support intercultural approach. The project was implemented from 1st September 2015 – 30th April 2016. In the first 2 months (September and October) before the training course we will make every necessary preparations, plan the training course and prepare the participants. We be in touch with the partners during this whole phase. The training itself was held November 22nd – 29th in Szeged, which will be followed by the 4-month-long follow-up, evaluation and dissemination process. Here we shared the experiences, tried the methods learnt during the course and finished the blog. The last month was spent with following up the participants and evaluation both inside the organization and within the partners.
