Date du début: 1 juin 2016, Date de fin: 31 mai 2018 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The IES Carrizal Project for the pedagogical development and improvement of didactic competences lies on the needs arisen after nine years´work within the CLIL team. This team has been the motivator element in the methodological improvement of the rest of the staff. Another important element has been the reports made year by year at the School where the need for new sources of motivation among students has been a decisive point to be taken into account. Apart from learning foreign languages an using new technologies in the classroom (which is already promoted by the ITC Program), the use of games to learn seems to be a perfect resource to be explored. To make student live the human values such as respect, tolerance, inclusion, solidarity, and so on, teachers must not only talk theoretically about them but also design classroom activities with techniques and structures Teachers should not only talk theoretically about human values such as respect, tolerance, inclusion, solidarity, and so on, but design classroom activities to make students live and feel them. To be able of doing it, training in cooperative learning seems to be a pedagogical tool to learn about. Learning both methodologies implies that teachers should design classroom activities to be carried out with students, assessing their impact on them. If their impact is positive these methodologies would be included in the future teaching planning of the School. Eight participants will take part in this project. However, its outcomes will have an impact on many other teachers of our school and it will also reach other schools of the area. The activities included in our formative project will consist of attending different courses in various foreign countries. These are aimed to develop the pedagogical and communicative competences of the teachers who form part of the project by learning new methodologies and resources which will be put into practice in the classroom. In addition, these methodologies and resources will also be used by other teachers from the school staff in the spreading stage of the project. We first focus on the online searching of the courses which best suit our needs and priorities, selecting those which adapt best to our context and the teachers who will be attending them. The candidates will be selected taking into account the selection criteria established by our school. The Headmaster, the Head of Studies and the Secretary of our school together with the European Project Commission, will be in charge of the follow-up of this formative project. As far as the project’s impact is concerned, this will present three aspects. The first one inside the school, with the sharing of all the knowledge and good practice acquired not only among our students and teachers but also among the students’ families. To fulfill that aim we intend to create and manage online formation both to help non-participant teachers integrate the new methodologies in their classes and to encourage parents to be new methodologies supporters. As for the second aspect, this will take place at a local level by sharing the activities with other schools of the area which would be included in different blogs of public access, all with the help of the local council and the teachers' center (CEP). Finally, there will be an international aspect since our students will make use of the acquired resources to participate in international platforms such as e-twinning. Furthermore, teachers will promote international exchanges with other teachers they have met through the courses and exchange platforms they have been involved in.To conclude, the long-term benefits of this project are various. Among them, we should point out the possibility of taking part in exchanges with foreign schools in order to develop pedagogical and communicative competences of both teachers and students. This way we would assist to the opening of our school to a European dimension, a key concept in education nowadays, widening not only our students' views and objectives, but also our teachers'. And finally we will fulfill the objectives that Europe has settled regarding the education in values such as tolerance, respect, solidarity, respect and inclusion. We would like our students to assume these values as their own to “transfer” them later to their surrounding community when playing an active role as citizens.
