MEJORA DE REALIZACIÓN DE TRABAJOS COLABORATIVOS POR PROYECTOS USANDO LAS HERRAMIENTAS WEB 2.0 EN EL IES VALSEQUILLO

The IES Valsequillo CLIL team Project for the improvement of making collaborative projects using web tools 2.0 originates from the study of needs detected both by the Headmistress, Chief of Studies, Viceheadmistress, Secretary and the teachers belonging to our Program of Studies CLIL. Taking advantage of the fact that this program has been spread to all our students, we find the need to achieve more efficiency and fulfilment to their results and we must offer them a motivating working style related to the current times by means of modern web tools applicable to collaborative group projects.Six teachers will be involved in the motilities and are the ones to disseminate the knowledge acquired in the courses. The project will last 24 months and the impact will fall on all the educative community, families, local authorities and other schools of the area. The profile of the learning participants is described as teachers willing to acquire knowledge and abilities to further put into practice in order to develop a motivating and beneficial learning atmosphere for our students.The activities to develop in our European development plan will be the attendance to courses in different European countries to gain skills to be able to create collaborative projects by using different web tools. They are mainly addressed at CLIL teachers, the English department and the rest of teachers willing to participate in this teaching-learning system. There will be different working teams for the management and development of our European plan. There is also a plan for the dissemination of knowledge, planning of online learning, dissemination of good practice with families through virtual platforms; open doors dissemination sessions for families, teachers centers, other schools and exchage of experience with other European schools by means of eTwinning.With respect to our methodology, we begin by finding out courses which satisfy our needs once they have been detected. We will focus on the School Education Gateway portal which offers a big variety of courses. Then we select the teachers who will attend them by following the selecting criteria established by our school. There are also some working teams in charge of all aspects related to management of the project and always supervised by the Headmistress, Chief of Studies, Viceheadmistres, Secretary and the coordinator of European projects in our school.The expected outcomes will be centered in learning how to manage to make students work on collaborative projects by using suitable web tools, to develop the digital and communicative competence in English of our CLIL teachers, to disseminate the acquired knowledge and to improve our students’ learning process by means of resources which can help them assimilate contents and can motivate them to learn in a foreign language.In relation to the impact, we mainly hope an update of teachers’ methodology at short term and to put in practice all the learned knowledge at mid and long term. For the participants, we hope the improvement of teaching abilities both from a linguist point of view and put into practice collaborative projects by using web tools suitable for different situations.For the school, the impact will open the need to continue with its openness to Europe by organizing new mobilities and fostering the participation in future Erasmus + projects. For families, they will be offered training to work in a cooperative way with teachers through the virtual platforms designed for our students.With respect to local area impact, we will use our webpage to disseminate this type of teaching by means of collaborative projects by using web tools.At an international impact level, we will enrich contact with new teachers involved in the courses with the purpose of creating new strategic associations in Erasmus+ and/or eTwinning in order to continue reinforcing the idea of European dimension.Finally, the long-term benefits are varied. We must highlight that they consist in the continuation of exchanges with European schools in order to go on developing communicative, digital and social competences and this way we make our European dimension idea still bigger.
