1.SCHOOL CONTENTS: The school is located in the south of Córdoba , in the heart of " the Campiña" specifically in the town of Fernán Núñez. Throughout rigorous student-centered curriculum, teachers ensure that every child works to his or her maximum potential. Building a community environment is central to the school?s philosophy. By means of the professional development, the teachers work collaboratively to develop a well-rounded schooling experience for all students . In addition, parents involvement is an outstanding resource and support for the school. 2.AIMS: * To develop and promote the communicative competence since we are called to live in a multilingual and multicultural society. * To foster personal and social values among teachers, students, parents association, etc. as members of a reality called Europe. *To promote cooperation and exchange networks among teachers to break the isolation considering an intercultural approach as a new method of teaching and learning a foreign language. *To prepare teachers and students to be ready and participate actively and successfully in an interdependent with the main purpose to achieve a peaceful world where international understanding and cooperation are the basis to progress. *To encourage teamwork skills to improve both teaching practice and students school permormance. 3.NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS: 4. 4.TEACHER´S PROFILE: *Creative *Adaptable *An eye for detail *Active and energetic *Management skills *Communication skills *Problem-solving skills *Excellent in working with others. *Responsible approach to any task. *Hardworking *Open-minded *Eager to learn. 5.ACTIVITIES: They have been based on the improvement and development of teachers´ communicative competence and the adquisition of new teaching and learning methods.They have been put into practice by considering three stages "before - during -after". *In the very first stage a wide range of activities have been developed,such as: brain storming to highligh necessities, design of the project, initial evaluations, suggestions, advice. *The second stage encompassed activities carried out during the process of training in Edinburg. Activities are contextualized in the Scottish social and cultural environment in order to promote participants´ authentic communication skills fllowing a natural way . *Finally, the last stage involved the processs of evaluation in terms of difficulties, achivements, expectations, advantages, disadvantages and those aspects to be considered by the participant teachers. *The methodology has promoted teamwork. Methodology has involved participants actively.They were not passive spectators but rather effective group members where regular open communication allowed group members to share their thoughts, ideas, points of view and suggestions. *The working group has been monitored by a "facilitator o lider" who made sure that participants have an active role in the design and development of the project. The "facilitator o lider" directed a sequence of steps which have been put into practice by the team work and kept the group "on-track". All participants came together. The "facilitartor" was good at controlling and and coordinating resources. She had the energy, determination and initiative to overcome obstacles. She gave shape to the team effort. She recognised the skills of each individual and how they can be used. The evaluation has been considered as a process to value and to reassess the quality of the results reached in the different stages .It has been considered as a participative process, but also inclusive and responsible. We used data collection mechanisms from different sources,such as: combine direct observations,analysis plans, information about strategies, provide quality feedback, share the experiences of educators,critical thinking, strengths, weaknesses... 6.RESULTS: * Integration of new teaching methods, active participation in the teaching and learning process, development of a wide variety of techniques and strategies and finally , high level of satisfaction, since teachers realize the positive results after a big effort. 7.IMPACT: * The most valuable elements of the program are those experiences in terms of opportunities to work as a team in order to reach greater educational outcomes in Álvaro Cecilia Moreno and active community participation.The teacher team supported and recognized every idea and effort. 8.LONG -TERM EFFECTS: new social and cultural knowledge,low anxiety, self-confidence, motivation, teamwork, innovation, improvement language competence, new methods of teaching, the project is integrated in the school official documents,use of ICT as a tool for teaching and learning a foreign language, cooperation and exchange of experiences with teachers.
