TERMINÉ
El Castell School is the only school in Albalat dels Sorells. The school has 415 students from 3 to 12 years old; it has a specific classroom for 8 students with communication and language problems.
The teaching staff is a cohesive and high motivated group of teachers worried about their daily work and setting up an excellent work group with a wide conciliatory sense, using reflection and self-criticism, these skills increase the capability of teachers to change and improvement. From the shared reflection, the knowledge of their strengths and their weaknesses recognition, it has a strong motivation for seeking the highest quality of the service offered.
The school has excellent multidirectional relationships with all public and private institutions in town.
NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS AND PROFILE:
The total participant teachers are 11. In the school year 2015-2016, the linguistic courses will be followed by 4 class teachers that during this school year are participating in different intermediate English courses, the main goal for these teachers is to get the Bw English level. 2 teachers will attend to CLIL courses and they will participate in a job shadowing; 3 teachers, including the European and international projects coordinator. will study about ICT. In the school year 2016-2017 the teachers who has attended to the linguistic courses they will attend to the CLIL courses and they will participate in thejob shadowing too.
All these teachers are motivated on improving their own skills to benefit the whole school community.
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
* To train 6 class teachers in language courses to improve their English skills
* To advance in our Integrated language project by the training on CLIL Methodology.
* To observe how CLIL works in our partner school
*To train 3 teachers in ICT courses
USED METHODOLOGY
We are using participative techniques for planning and develop this project. It’s important to remark that one of the most important aims of his project is to innovate and experiment new teaching methodologies like CLIL
DESCRIPTION OF THE RESULTS AND EXPECTED IMPACT
*At least 4 of our class teachers will get B2 English level a
*4 teachers will learn about CLIL methodology
*All the class primary teachers will plan their languages lessons (Spanish, Valencian and English) following the integrated work language methodology we are developing at the school, making more powerful the culture of innovation and trying new teaching methods.
*11 teachers will improve their English competences.
* When our students finish their studies, they will have at least the A1 level of English and they will use the European language portfolio to evaluate themselves in the different curricular languages: spanis, valencian and english.
*All the school teachers will be motivated to follow on the way we have started to improve their English competences.
*The satisfaction degree of our users will be increased because the quality of the service received and for giving answers to their needs and requests
*The prestige of the school as educational institution, open to Europe and the world, ready to change and looking for the excellence.
LONG TERNM BENEFITS
* All teachers at the school will be at least at a B2 level in their English skills
* Subjects as Physical Education, Music, Arts and crafts and some natural sciences and social sciences lessons could be taught in English using CLIL methodology to all students aged from 6 to 12 years old.
* When our students finish their studies they will be competent in English language and they will be able to interact in everyday situations using this language.
*All students between 3 and 6 years old could receive training in English language with the own school's resources.
*To achieve quality labels for the school
