Mejora de la competencia lingüística e innovación a través de la movilidad del profesorado
Date du début: 1 juil. 2014, Date de fin: 30 juin 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

For several school years, and especially in the last two strategic plans (2008-2012 and 2012-2016) , Colegio Santa Teresa de Pamplona has been interested in promoting the use of English in the classroom both in curricular subjects and activities and in extracurricular ones. In the last Strategic Plan of the school , the Management Team has also paid special attention to the development of methodological changes and improvements to favour the incorporation of active classroom methodologies which could have a positive impact in the learning process of our students . In order to detect the strategic lines that should guide our actions , the Management Team has made SWOT analysis in the two Strategic Plans that have motivated the incorporation of some measures to promote the internationalisation of the school and the improvement of language teaching ( linguistic exchanges and inmersions for students , American Dual High School, extra-curricular English conversation classes, Comenius research projects with students, etc. . ) . At this point , the direction of the school has found the necessity to train the staff in language skills to ensure continuity of the measures and projects already adopted and to be able to start new ones, aimed at normalizing bilingualism at school and ensure international dimension too. The growing interest of the FUNDACION ESCUELA TERESIANA, to which we belong, and the personal choice of the management team of the school for active methodologies commitment to help improve the learning and employability of our students, have drawn our interest to learn about other methods of teaching. In this context, the strategy of the school actually intends to develop language skills (mainly English ) of the teachers teaching pre-primary , primary, secondary and high school children . Also, we intend to train those with a better English level to acquire the necessary knowledge in CLIL methodologies and CLIL itself , to motivate a methodological change as a way of learning how to teach more skills and cooperative work. This base will enable us to apply for future Ka1 projects of job shadowing activities and teaching experiences and methods to import into our classrooms . Our goal is for 20 people with inquisitiveness, some future prospects at school and basic or intermediate English skills , to obtain formal qualifications at different levels ( according to each one´s characteristics) and for a number of teachers, the ones who already have an intermediate degree , to be formed in CLIL methodology too . We would also want to give these people the opportunity to share that knowledge with the rest of the faculty of the school as well as with teachers of other schools nearby and to actively participate in pedagogical innovation groups of the FUNDACION ESCUELA TERESIANA nationwide. The results we will gain from this project will be measured by indicators within the Quality Programme of the school which has allowed us to obtain a +500 EFQM accreditation this year 2014. These results will allow us to make the internal organization of the school more flexible, facilitating internal mobility of our staff and consequently enriching their jobs providing them with greater opportunities. What is more, it will allow us to have a greater number of teachers with ability to incorporate content in English in curricular subjects, to promote internationalisation and to lead projects , generating a natural bilingual school. This training will also contribute to an increase of the quality range of English learning offers to the families of the environment, so that students who come to our school will benefit. Finally, the acquired methodologies will allow us to give a boost to the methodological change the Management Team would like to promote which will favour the employability of our students in the future.
