Meeting Armenia!
Date du début: 1 sept. 2015, Date de fin: 31 août 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Project “Meeting Armenia!" responds to current local and international situation - declining tolerance between cultures and bug disinterest of young people in the creative use of leisure time. Aim of the project was to host one volunteer from Turkey for 12 months in Dům dětí a mládeže in Český Těšín and to give her the possibility to gain new or improve her professional and personal skills. Main goal of submitted project was to provide the volunteer with thorough preparation for her future working and personal life and also provide her with the opportunity to create and realize own ideas and projects. The volunteer became an active member of our organisation and she took part a part in regular leisure activities and also in occassional actions. Volunteer informed local people about her country and culture, she created and organised own activities for youth and children, had meetings with students and public to promote European Voluntary Service, worked within our Information Center for Youth and did other activities with clients of DDM, local children and youth. Through these activities the volunteer gained new professional skills, basic working habits, languages and other knowledges which help her to succeed in her future working life. Our goal was to involve our volunteer to daily life in our city, so she was no longer seen as stranger. Volunteer got full support of sending and hosting organization, project coordinator (Tereza Baginská) and her personal mentor (Michaela Wolná). The result of this submitted project had impact not only on the volunteer but also on our organisation and its employee and clients, local pupils, students and youth and inhabitants of our city because they gained great opportunity to meet new people, to get to know other culture and habits, to gain new information and experience and to create new international friendships and partnerships. Over the long term the people learned how to live in tolerancy and multicultural society.
