'Meet the Utility of ERASMOBILITY'

"Meet the Utility Of Erasmobility" is an Erasmus +, Key Action1, Training Course which will be coordinated byyouth organization Youth Horizons on 22-30 October 2016 in Megara, Greece and will bring together 35 Youth Workers (over 18 years) from 8 European countries: Greece, Spain, Italy, Poland, Hungary, Turkey, Lithuania, Estonia. Consist a training program that will inform participants thoroughly for the opportunities and benefits of Erasmus +, theoretically and practically. Initially, participants will be aware of Key-Actions, good-practices of youth working in Europe, ways of youth empowerment and the importance of non-formal education. Then, equipped with knowledge and skills, will have the opportunity to act as European youth workers, to create video for the opportunities of Erasmus + and turn their ideas into reality by drawing step by step Erasmus+ projects. The concept of this program was inspired by suspended implementation of Erasmus+ programs in Greece. We believe that this suspension of Erasmus+/ Youth in Greece put on hold the updating and development of greek youth workers and also taking initiatives of designing and implementing programs. The implementation of ERASMOBILITY will offer the opportunity to wake the interest of the society of youth workers in Greece and Europe, their experiential training and the development of skills and capacities. In this way, greek youth workers, bybeing informed and motivated,will have the opportunity to cover significantly kilometers of knowledge, meet their colleagues from rest European area and to continue along the path of active involvement and taking initiatives in Erasmus+ world. The followed training methodology will be based on Non-formal-Informal Education and its tools: learning to participate, peer learning, intercultural dialogue, study-visits, role-playing, working groups, ice-breakers, energizers etc. The objectives of the project are directly linked with the priorities of Key-Action 1, as through participants' information and involvement on Erasmus+ practices will be supported and promoted the active participation and youth mobility in Europe. Specifically:• Support youth workers and trainers of new generation• Contribute to the identification of 'non-formal / informal education' through its tools (learning to participate, peer learning, intercultural dialogue etc)• Focus on the learner, his needs, expectations, respect of diversity, promoting equal educational opportunities• Developing skills and abilities, strengthening 'professional profile', Sharing good practices• Motivation for active participation and taking initiatives in local, national and international level, Support and development of "youth working" in Greece• Support youth organizations, their intersectoral cooperation and their role as multipliers Upon completion of the activities, the participants are expected to have:* Strengthen their profile as informed, capable and motivated youth workers, useful in the European context, as they will gain knowledge and develop skills, both social (team spirit, cooperativeness, solidarity, respect of diversity) and personal (critical thinking, creativity , taking initiatives, patience)* Co-create promotional Erasmus + video and draw collaboratively new Erasmus+ project which will reflect the coupling of people from different countries with different perspectives, habits and concerns.* Come in contact with different cultures and with the local and national lifestyle* Been awarded with european certification Youthpass and strengthen their CV Participants' intercultural contact with each other but with the local community as well, and the encouragement of active participation in actions, will contribute to the development of social consciousness and active participation in commons. With starting point the small 'community' of ERASMOBILITY, and by being aware and motivated, participants will infuse the gained knowledge into the actions and initiatives of their local and national organizations. Acting as multipliers will motivate more young people to participate actively and take beneficial initiatives for their societies. In this way organizations, enriched with youth workers and citizens with enhanced European awareness, will contribute to the transmutation of their societies into societies of European identity and consciousness. Thus can be achieved the development of a united, supportive and aware 'cooperation network', able to spread widely the European idea.
