Medical Physics: New ICT-based Curricula for Uzbekistan

The creation of the environment in Uzbek partner universities for development and implementation of a new, “Bologna compliant”, second level (Masters) program in Medical Physics that would comply with the international academic quality and correspond to the market needs will ease the problem of poor quality of medical services, lack of trained specialists for use of medical equipment creates and R&D potential in this area.The following activities are planned that will allow to reach this objective:• to develop a new and competitive Master level program in Medical Physics, accredited and licensed for delivery in Uzbekistan and compliant to international standards and best practices • to train the lecturers, who can successfully deliver the Master’s program • to build the environment for delivery of the course• to establish a network within Uzbekistan for sustainable development of the program contents and environments• to establish an international network for sustainable development of the program These activities of the project are in line with the strategy of Higher Education Ministry of Uzbekistan and Healthcare Ministry of Uzbekistan and correspond to the market needs of the industry and social needs of the Uzbek people.
