Mechatronics term has been used since 1970 in The World, but Turkey introduced it in 2000’s by means of enterprises of some universities. However, SMEs, vocational high schools are still not so familiar with mechatronics term in Turkey. Application of mechatronics in factories is directly related with development of them. Additionally, rate of exportation of the products, construction and increasing of domestic demand to the products, customer needs fulfilling, are directly related with development of production technologies. Familiarization of mechatronics will be realized by providing short term education programs, e-learning applications, distant-lab exercises. The strong side of the project will be e-learning and distance lab applications. Members of SMEs, vocational high schools and universities which have no enough mechatronics laboratory facilities will be able benefit from these applications. By means of added lecture videos, interactive studies and being able to make distance laboratory application, target groups will take mechatronics education by their self. Distance laboratory application will be used via The Internet. There will be central laboratory in Tunceli University. Each partner member will be able to use this application after taking user name and password. Target groups of these activities are white-blue workers of SMEs and vocational higher school members. The reason why vocational higher school members are included is working of them in organized industry after the graduation as white-blue workers. The main goal of this project is to provide basic level mechatronics education and increasing awareness of mechatronics in SMEs and vocational higher education.
