ME - PORTE D´ENTRÉE POUR PETITES ET MOYENNES ENTREPRISES (PME)
Date du début: 31 déc. 2003, Date de fin: 30 mars 2007 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The internal market is constantly developing and will continue to present many challenges. These include directives that have not yet been completely transposed in Member States, slow progress in the field of taxation and obstacles for people wishing to exercise their right to free movement. The introduction of the euro in 2002 probably created the necessary impetus for achieving the principle of free movement, and economic convergence can be expected to lead to closer contacts among member states. Individuals in the participant regions need to be encouraged to set up new businesses and take up opportunities, and the shortcomings in many primary service sectors need to be stressed. Overall objective / Objectif général The main objective is to reduce unemployment in the regions involved and to share information and experiences. Also to enhance sustainable development in regions by adopting a common approach to improve economic and social planning while encouraging common, innovative business through the use of NITC.An example of good practices can be created by promoting on-going training, health and safety and environmental policies. Small-and medium-sized enterprises should be encouraged to play an active role on the European market. Expected results / Résultats attendus There has been a high level of involvement on the part of company managers wishing to gain access to the European market and we are prepared to exchange business contacts and experiences. The trans-national labour programme has been drawn up for the four partners. We know that the search for best practices has been carried out on a regional level, and that proposals for innovative methods have been laid down and are ready to be applied in the regions. Self-learning tools have been proposed and guidelines drawn up. The website has been designed and structured and its content discussed. Each partner will be responsible for translating the content into its own language and for providing content on a regional level. This means the website can be regularly updated. Regional and national business associations have also proposed that a business managers association should be established.
